Barndominium Style Plan 41896 measures 108 feet wide by 84 feet deep, and 4,213 square feet of that is living space! Enter the 3 bay garage through one of the three doors. Each garage door measures 12' by 12' for a symmetrical look across the front of the house. Keep going into the back of the garage, and it becomes a shop where you can start those woodworking projects you always wanted to do. Buyers will be impressed by the exterior because it features a metal roof, dark vertical siding, and heavy timber beams to support the front covered porch with its cathedral ceiling. Barndominium Style Plan With Wooden Ceiling Beams
After seeing the outside, you and your guests will be wowed by the interior! Firstly, the double front door opens to enormous open living space inside. The living room measures about 33 feet wide by 22 feet deep, and the fireplace serves as a nice focal point. Can you just picture your Christmas stockings hanging from the mantel? Arrange plush furniture in a semi-circle around the fireplace, and that will leave your line of traffic open from the front door into the dining room.
Secondly, the cathedral ceiling is enhanced with rustic ceiling beams. These beams start in the dining space and continue into the kitchen. The choice of beams is up to you. But we recommend stained wooden beams. And you should have a long farmhouse table that will fit your whole family plus a few guests. Your kitchen has lots of counter space and a big island in the center where three people can sit and chat with the cook. Plus, there's a back door leading to the rear covered porch. It will be easy to carry platters of food outside where you can enjoy dining on your picnic bench under this nice outdoor space.
Luxury Master Suite With Closet Attached to the Pantry
Thirdly, Barndominium Style Plan 41896 boasts an impressive master suite. Enter the master bedroom from the living room. It measures 14' wide by almost 19' deep, and there's a pocket door where you can get into the ensuite. The ensuite includes a freestanding tub. Two doorways on either side of the tub lead out to a giant walk-in shower with two showerheads. This is a luxury not found in many homes. Continue into the walk-in closet and marvel at the size and the center island where you can store smaller items in drawers. Lastly in the master suite, go through the next door and land in the pantry. This would be a great place to add a coffee bar for quick access!
The children's bedrooms are accessed on the other end of the house. Each child has a walk-in closet, and they share a full bathroom. The kids will be excited to find a surprise—there's a dedicated playroom at the end of the hallway! Other rooms to note are the large laundry room with lots of storage, the home office, and the convenient half bathroom located at the garage entrance. Lastly, make note of the abundant storage space upstairs. Use this space to store Christmas decorations. Or, turn it into a bunk room to house extended family over the holidays.
