A: The current wall assembly has a sound rating that is better than normal, STC 57.
A: This plan is 43’ wide, the front columns do protrude another 6” beyond the width of the house, however as the base of the column is only for aesthetics and is not structural it could be left off of the plans and a 12” vinyl or wood column surround could be used instead. With a lot that is 50’ wide with 3’ setbacks on the sides the building and columns should fit. Please note however that the roof has an 18” overhang, so the client should confirm that the roof can project into the 3’ side setback. If the roof is an issue the roof overhang would need to be reduced to 12”. If the client is concerned about width they can also look at plan 96213 which is very similar but only 42’ wide. Or plan 96222 which is only 41’ wide. Thanks, Tony
