Previous Q & A
Q:What kind of framing is used in the span going across the enclosed porch? Would it be suitable to attach a patio roof extending off of the rear? Thanks
A:The rear porch is open and is framed with a beam supporting the roof structure. Adding additional weight with another roof wouldn't necessarily require any upgrades to the beam as long as the roof could be supported from the rear wall of the kitchen/dining area. See rough sketch for explanation.
Q:If you add the basement option. Would the depth of the home change? If so, what would be the new depth?
A:Depth increases for the basement option by approximately 4'-4".
Q:Does the 55' width include the eaves? If not, how much do they hang over?
A:The 55' does not include the eaves or the brick skirt. The 55' is outside of studwall to outside of studwall. The eaves will add roughly 16" to both sides for a total addition of 32" (2'-8").
Q:Am I able to get a material list for this house?
A:Yes. A materials list is available for $195 for the plan in its original form. Basements, reverse, 2x6 walls, etc. will not be reflected on the estimate. Furthermore, do to unknown site conditions, foundation materials are not included. Call and ask for Bonnie if you would like to place this order.
Q:What is the siding material scheduled on the front of the 56901 plan?
A:The siding material shown is board and batten siding. We do not specify a specific brand.
Thanks,
Jason
